Portfolio-Based Assessments (PBATS)
We are one of twenty-seven schools in the New York State Performance Standards Consortium promoting performance-based academic assessment over high stakes testing.
Consortium Schools like City-As School “boast graduation, college-going, and college retention rates that routinely top city, state, and national averages,” according to an investigative piece by The Village Voice.
City-As-School students are required to create rigorous academic portfolios used in Portfolio-Based Assessments (PBATS) in order to graduate.
