With stories from Jamaica, Ghana, Senegal, Guinea, Nepal, the United States and beyond, Complex Complexions explores how colorism expresses itself in so many formerly-colonized communities around the world. The film draws connections between cultures in which those with darker skin tones experience discrimination from within their own communities and even families and highlights voices that reject these divisions in a call for unity.
