It’s
- wear college gear (it doesn’t have to be from your own college), such as t-shirts, caps, sweatshirts, sweatpants, pins, etc…
- wear career-related gear, such as a T-shirt from the Carpenters’ Union or one that says, “If you can read this, thank a teacher.”
- talk to your students about your own college experience
- talk to your students about your other career (entrepreneur, tutor, sign language interpreter)

All Week Long | Scavenger hunt about where the staff went to college, etc. Prizes awarded the following week in Advisory Seminars. |
Monday 10/20 | College Kickoff Luncheon for potential Nov, Jan, April, June grads at 11:45 in Library |
Tuesday 10/21 | College Kickoff Luncheon for potential Nov, Jan, April, June grads at 11:45 in Library |
Wednesday 10/22 | College Fair 1:30-3:15 in the lobby** (See Schedule Below) |
Thursday 10/23 | Career Panels during Advisory Seminar 10:30-12 |
Friday 10/24 | College Rep visit: Niagara Culinary Institute and Niagara Community College, 12:30-1:30, room TBA |
Friday afternoon | College Tours open to all students but they must register in advance: Lehman College-departing CAS at 12:30(limited to 10 students), LIU Brooklyn-departing CAS at1:30 (limited to 25 students) |
** The big college fair will happen on Wednesday afternoon.
1st period, advisory, and 2nd period will all proceed as normal.
3rd period teachers will escort their students in the fair in two waves:
@ 1:35 (Rooms 201, 202, 206, 302, 303, 305) will go to the fair
@ 2:15 (Rooms 404, 405, 503, 504, 508, Auditorium) will go to the fair
There will not be a 4th period on Wednesday 10/22.
